How to mount wire and handle to a hammer head

Open the wire by hand or using flat nose pliers. Once you have opened the first part of a wire end, opening the rest and closing it again is very easy.
You can easily attach the handle on one side and the hammer head on the other side and close the wire again. Although the wire should hold perfectly once you have closed it again, we recommend using a small piece of adhesive tape at the beginning of the wire end (where you start opening and finish closing it) to make sure the wire stays closed during usage. Make sure the wire is closed at both ends before each use.

During the life cycle of a throwing hammer, it is perfectly normal that the wire and handle need to be replaced from time to time. You can purchase replacement wires and handles in our store. Be advised: You need to order the correct wire length (and handle weight) in order to maintain your hammer's compatibility with competition rules. If you have any questions or are unsure of your requirements, then please don't hesitate to contact us.
